Dali Hotel in Yunnan, China Hotel Furniture Project ｜ 311 Sets Custom Hotel Furniture
In September 2017, a customer from China placed an order for 311 sets of customized hotel furniture for Dali Hotel in Yunnan. The furniture package covered beds, bedside tables, wardrobes, cabinets, tables, lounge chairs, desks, sofas, and sofa beds, providing a broad combination of bedroom, storage, working, and seating furniture.
The variety of products made coordination an important part of the project. Rather than focusing on a single furniture category, the order required different products to work together within the same hotel environment, from the proportions of bedside furniture and beds to the relationship between wardrobes, desks, sofas, and lounge seating.
The project was therefore managed around three key stages: detailed drawing analysis, controlled production after order confirmation, and organized packaging and delivery. Each stage helped maintain consistency between the approved requirements and the finished furniture. Drawing Analysis
For a multi-category hotel furniture order, drawing review is not simply about checking dimensions. It is also about understanding how different products will function together within the guest room environment.

The positioning and dimensions of beds, bedside tables, wardrobes, desks, and cabinets were reviewed to ensure that furniture could work naturally within the available room space. Circulation and practical usage were considered alongside the visual arrangement.
★ Coordinating Furniture Proportions
Different furniture pieces can look disconnected if their proportions are not properly coordinated. The dimensions and visual relationships between beds, bedside tables, desks, tables, and seating products were therefore reviewed as part of the overall furniture solution.
★ Checking Storage Requirements
Wardrobes and cabinets were analyzed from a functional perspective, including available storage space and practical accessibility. The goal was to ensure that storage furniture could support everyday guest use without occupying unnecessary room space.
★ Reviewing Seating Functionality
The project included lounge chairs, sofas, and sofa beds, each serving a different purpose. Their dimensions and structural requirements were reviewed to ensure the furniture could provide suitable support and comfort for different usage scenarios.
★ Confirming Manufacturing Feasibility
Before production, technical details were checked against the actual manufacturing processes. This helped identify potential difficulties in advance and allowed the approved specifications to be converted into practical production instructions.

Once the drawings and requirements were finalized, the confirmed specifications became the reference for material preparation, component processing, assembly, and final inspection.

Production After Order Confirmation
After the order was confirmed, manufacturing was arranged according to the approved specifications. Because the order included both casegoods and upholstered furniture, different production processes had to be coordinated within the same project schedule.
★ Preparing Materials According to Product Requirements
Materials and components were prepared according to the confirmed specifications for each furniture category. This helped maintain consistency in dimensions, surfaces, and structural components throughout production.
★ Manufacturing Casegoods
Beds, bedside tables, wardrobes, cabinets, tables, and desks went through cutting, machining, edge processing, assembly, and finishing procedures. Each stage was controlled to maintain dimensional accuracy and consistent workmanship.
★ Producing Upholstered Furniture
Lounge chairs, sofas, and sofa beds followed dedicated upholstery processes. Internal structures, cushioning, fabric application, and finishing details were handled separately before final assembly.
★ Coordinating Different Production Lines
Since the order contained nine categories of furniture, production could not be treated as a single repetitive process. Different manufacturing procedures were coordinated according to the characteristics of each product.
★ Checking Functional Details
Furniture was inspected for structural stability, opening and closing functions where applicable, connection strength, surface quality, and overall workmanship. Functional inspection was particularly important for furniture intended for frequent hotel use.
★ Final Inspection Before Packaging
After production was completed, the finished furniture was reviewed against the approved specifications and order quantities. Products that passed the inspection were then prepared for packaging and delivery.
This production approach allowed different furniture types to be manufactured as part of one coordinated project while maintaining consistent quality across the complete order.

Packaging and Delivery
The final stage focused on protecting the finished furniture and organizing the shipment efficiently. Because the order contained large furniture, small casegoods, and upholstered products, packaging requirements varied across different items.

Beds, wardrobes, cabinets, tables, desks, and upholstered furniture were packaged according to their individual structures and dimensions rather than using a uniform packaging method.
★ Protecting Finished Surfaces
Finished surfaces and exposed edges received additional protection to minimize scratches, friction, and impact during handling.
★ Reinforcing Larger Furniture
Larger furniture pieces required additional structural protection to help maintain their shape during loading, transportation, and unloading.
★ Protecting Upholstered Products
Sofas, lounge chairs, and sofa beds were provided with suitable external protection to help keep fabric and upholstery surfaces clean and intact during transportation.
★ Organizing Shipment Information
Product identification and package organization were arranged to make it easier to distinguish different furniture categories after delivery. Clear organization is particularly useful when multiple furniture types are being installed within the same project.
★ Final Loading Check
Before shipment, the packaging condition, product quantities, and loading arrangement were checked. The completed process helped prepare the 311 sets of furniture for safe and organized delivery.
